Besides extensive range of summer hats with matching bags and baskets, our assortment also includes interior and gifts. All is Fair Trade handicrafts made of natural materials or recycling. La Maison Afrique FAIR TRADE is a Fair Trade organization, member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO). 17 years of close cooperation with artisans on Madagascar, export to several countries.   • Description: The ever-increasing hat assortment will fill up La Maison Afrique FAIR TRADE stand —as floating clouds. Under the hat-clouds, matching bags and baskets. All Fair Trade and genuine crafts based on local, natural fibres. Hats ...give style, make a difference that matters. It is an efficient way to update the wardrobe. Hats are easy to display and are social amusement to try (!) The hats in FAIR TRADE assortment are all Fair Trade and genuine crafts based on local, natural materials; sundried palmleaves, reeds, mountain grass. The hats represent impressing craftsmanship. It is a craft that fight poverty in one of the most marginalized countries in Africa. In addition, it is a craft that empowers women. Environment cared for in every step: The materials used are wild growing, hence not demanding scare resources from food production or irrigation, pesticides, herbicides. Dyes that have been used comply with Öko-Tex standard. The hats are shipped by sea to Sweden.
