Its natural quality has been favored by royal households for hundreds of years and is sourced in very few locations where the down is combed and gathered from the underbellies of mountain goats in Inner Mongolia. These ‘Capra Hircus’ goats are a special pedigree of goat, adapted to the extreme winter climate of Inner Mongolia where temperatures drop to -40°C. To keep warm, these animals produce the finest grade of cashmere on Earth, the richest source. In our collections we use the finest, the longest and the whitest premium grade cashmere. Every cashmere fibre is analyzed for colour, length, thickness and twist before it moves to the production process. Thickness or weight is very important in the production of premium cashmere.
